Most of us get into coaching, personal growth and other areas of our lives from a desire to change – change our results, change how we feel, change other people, etc.
Here’s my question – do you want change (temporary alteration) or do you want transformation (permanent alteration)?
Webster’s dictionary defines the word Transform as:a : to change in composition or structure b : to change the outward form or appearance of c : to change in character or condition
Webster’s dictionary defines the word Change as:a : to make different in some particular b : to make radically different c : to give a different position, course, or direction to
Rather than focusing on the precise definitions, lets look at what transformation is in the world by looking at a caterpillar’s journey to becoming a butterfly. Within the cocoon, the caterpillar (pupa) transforms its body parts from legs & body to that of a smaller body and beautiful wings. Once this physical transformation is complete, the new creature emerges from the cocoon as a beautiful butterfly – never to be the same again!
This metamorphosis is permanent – the butterfly will never again walk the earth in its previous form as a caterpillar . . . a true example of TRANSFORMATION!
So which result are you looking for in your life? Change that may lead back to the same you or a true transformation from within you that is irreversible?
Taking yourself on through personal growth and life coaching is one mechanism for producing transformation from within . . . when are you ready to start???
